We
further administer an Alternative Youth Court Program. This is a
Diversion Treatment Program for first time, misdemeanor,
nonviolent offenders between the age of 10 and 18. Sample of some
cases that our program accepts include theft, alcohol and drug
offenses, vandalism disorderly conduct, assault, traffic, truancy,
curfew violations, tobacco violations, school disciplinary
problems and criminal mischief. This program offer communities a
prevention and early intervention program that can hold the
juvenile offenders accountable, educate youth in the community on
the legal system and judicial process, help build competencies in
young person, and engage youth in their communities by providing a
meaningful forum in which they can practice and demostrate newly
